Chimera Arts announces “Holiday DIY Jamboree”

Saturday, December 15th, 2018

Make a holiday ornament or gift,  check out our space and get in to the holiday spirit!

Sonoma County’s First Community Arts and Maker Space, is pleased to announce our family “Holiday DIY Jamboree” on Saturday, December 15th from 11am - 2pm.

Get in to the holiday spirit and with maker made holiday gifts! Our space will be set up with five different project work stations.  We will provide the materials, tools and staff support and you provide the creativity!  The projects are appropriate for all ages (5-95)!

  • Create a Handmade Ornament!  Great for hanging on the tree, or a perfect stocking stuffer.  We will provide you with laser cut blank (with different holiday shapes) and all of the creative supplies you need to make a handcrafted ornament.

  • Make a one-of-a-kind Sock Puppet! Socks are great for keeping your feet warm and toasty.  But they can also be used to create a fun little friend.  We’ll have all the materials you’ll need.

  • Decorate your own Gingerbread Person!  We will provide you with a laser cut wooden form and you can decorate it to your heart’s desire. This person comes with a base so that you can display it with your collection of holiday decorations.

  • Create a Holiday Themed Necklace Pendent or Leather Cuff! Our resident jeweler will work with you to make this a most special holiday gift.

  • Design your own Re-Imagined Misfit Toy!  Take something old and make something new! Our collection of cast-off toys is the perfect start for your re-imagined masterpiece. Toys, tools and glue guns - what fun!

And to keep things festive, we’ll be offering snacks and beverages.

This event is a fundraiser for our non-profit organization. It’s only $5 per project.  You can also purchase a family pass for $20 that lets your posse craft 5 projects.

Everyone is welcome and it’s sure to be loads of fun.
