Aside from our list of classes, Chimera has a number of weekly meetings that are open to the public and Free to attend. Our goal is to share our projects and passion for making with a wide audience to engage the community around us. Join us any time!
Repair Cafe w/ Sebastopol Time Bank
Every 3rd Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Chimera teams up with the Sebastopol TIme Bank to put on a general repair workshop: bring any items you have in need of repair or mending! Our maker volunteers will help guests get started on learning the processes of fixing various items with the resources and equipment available in the space. Open to the public and free (donations encouraged).
Want to take some skills home? Try a basic woodworking class.
Understanding Wood: A Craftsman’s Meetup
1st and 3rd Mondays, 7:00 PM
Come out and chat with local wood workers about the science of wood; From species specific talks to how it's manufactured. Let's discuss the medium of our craft. Master wood turner, Ariel Stone will be meeting every other Monday to discuss a different topic. Free.

Show and Tell
Every 3rd Wednesday, 7:00 PM
Show off your project. Come out and share anything you are working on. Inspire others and be inspired. If you like, you can prepare a 10 minute presentation which we can show on our projector. Please bring something to drink or a small snack if you want and invite your friends. There are no skills or other requirements needed.

Every 4th Friday, 4:00-6:00 PM
A social gathering for members on curious inquirers to chat about the shop and look for ideas on improving the space. Please come to see us, any time and chat with the group, meet new members, and share your ideas.
Every 2nd Tuesday of the Month, 7:00 PM
Interested in creating projects using electronics? Need someone to look over your shoulder while you program your Arduino or RasPi? Want to use the soldering station or make your own circuit board? Not sure where to start? Come on down!
