I didn't update this last month, my apologies! We had a great talk about design and software restrictions and some ways to tackle them at the last meetup, thank you to everyone who contributed.
This next meetup we will talk a little bit more about design but we will also be focusing on how to make projects easier for people. Richard brought up some good points about not having 10 iterations of a thing when it's acceptable even with some minor flaws.
This got me to thinking that there are probably a few ways we could make everyone's maker experience better by providing some basic "building blocks" for maker projects, similar to the box maker for the laser cutter. I'm thinking about a standard design for common components or something similar that other makers can use as parts of their projects.
I will try to do better than just bottles of water for refreshment this time around, :-)
See you there!
