Arduino class is designed for beginners. Ages 15 and up. Contact the instructors if you are under 18. It will introduce the Arduino microcontroller board and it's capabilities. It will involve simple programming in the 'C' language, and use of the Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) as well as a web-based interface hosted at codebender.cc. We will discuss some basic electronics principals (how to wire up switches, LEDs, power supplies, batteries, etc...). You will get the most out of the class if you can bring your own Arduino board and computer to the class so you can take what you learn home in the same environment. However, we will have some Arduino boards here and some other sensors and LEDs and can probably set up a laptop if you don't have one. The class will start out with a presentation, and end with the two instructors helping students get their own Arduino boards connected and running their own code.
