New: Upcoming Classes and Events
Join Jenice Anderson of California Native Jewelry in learning how to make your own sterling silver rings. You'll be able to mix and match thin and thick bands to make a set of two or three rings. You'll learn how to measure, cut, solder, hammer, and finish your rings so that everyone walks away with their own unique set. This is a beginner class, no experience necessary! All tools are provided. Closed toed shoes recommended, long hair should be tied back and if you use reading glasses bring those too. This class is open to the public, no membership required!
In this class you’ll learn how to transfer the lover’s eye, of your choice, to polymer clay, creating a permanent image. We’ll be covering many jewelry making techniques such as: sawing, riveting, patterning and finishing. We’ll employ the flex shaft for drilling holes and for finishing. Finally, you’ll learn to make a bail that will turn your finished frame into an eye-catching (hah!) pendant.
Learn to create the simple basket setting with only 2 jump rings and a bit of wire. Discover how to attach your newly created settings to a round ring shank. We will also be making our own jump rings for this project. *Prerequisite: Prior soldering experience.
